Financial Controller (part-time)

Job type: Permanent, part-time (3 day week) with flexibility around agreed working days

Our client is looking to welcome a Financial Controller to join their business on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will manage a small finance function in an autonomous role, working closely with the Managing Director. The role offers excellent flexibility and work life balance, in a friendly SME environment.

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank recs, cash flow, VAT returns and related financial controls
\n
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports and forecasts
\n
• Process monthly payroll and pension scheme
\n
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation
\n
• Provide financial insight to support strategic business decisions
\n
• Work closely with senior leadership to shape the company’s growth strategy
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
\n
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally within an SME environment
\n
• Experience with Sage is an advantage
\n
• High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial record keeping
\n
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax, compliance, payroll, and financial regulations
\n
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
\n
