About the Role Location: Mumbai Reporting to: Head of Finance Role Purpose: This role is primarily responsible for core finance and accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting and statutory audit support, along with Management Information (MI) reporting and analysis to enable business visibility and performance tracking.
The role ensures strong financial governance, compliance, and high-quality reporting, while delivering timely and insightful MI to support decision-making. Responsibilities Financial Accounting, Month-end close and Consolidation Manage end-to-end month-end close activities. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations with supporting schedules. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in Xero. Maintain compliance with IFRS / local GAAP.
Statutory Audit & Regulatory Support Support statutory and internal audits end-to-end. Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
Maintain audit readiness and compliance discipline. Salesforce & Systems Support Work with finance, sales operations, and IT teams to: Implement configuration changes impacting pricing changes. Ensure data accuracy between Salesforce and finance systems.
MI Reporting & Business Analysis Prepare and deliver monthly MI reports and dashboards, including: Cost analysis Key operational and financial KPIs Generate actionable insights to support business performance tracking. Work with stakeholders to standardize MI definitions and reporting packs. Support ad-hoc analysis for management decision-making Hands-on experience in preparation of cost waterfall charts.
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement Drive automation and efficiency in reporting and accounting processes. Support system enhancements, testing and reporting improvements. Hands-on experience on Xero, ERP, Salesforce and Power BI.
Advanced excel, VBA and Macros knowledge preferred. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Commerce MBA Finance preferred Experience 4–6 years of experience with strong accounting and reporting background Experience in MI reporting / management reporting strongly preferred Exposure to SaaS / tech environment is an advantage Exceptional communication skills
