Join Nova Scotia Power as a Financial Analyst, working on the Eastern Clean Energy Initiative in Halifax. This temporary, full-time role involves critical financial analysis to support environmentally-focused projects. You'll play an essential role within the Capital Accounting team at Nova Scotia Power.
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Accountant, you will assist with month-end processes and financial reporting. Key skills include proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems, alongside collaboration with various departments for audits and project status updates. Key Responsibilities: • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing • Collaborate on audit documentation and reporting needs • Review project costs and compare with forecasts • Analyze invoices and accruals against contracts • Complete internal control procedures and forecasts Requirements: • University degree in Finance or Accounting • Minimum two years of related experience • Proficient with financial reporting systems • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Desire to pursue CPA designation Contribute your financial expertise to a greener energy future with Nova Scotia Power in Halifax. #J-18808-Ljbffr
