Overview
In this role you will contribute to the Group External Reporting function for a major UK-listed manufacturing business. You will work on half-year and year-end statutory reporting, focusing on consolidation, statutory accounts, and technical accounting across multiple international entities. You’ll interact with Group finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate, compliant reporting.
You’ll apply IFRS and Group accounting policies while driving process improvements. This six-month interim role offers Group-level exposure in a high-performing, collaborative environment with a clear impact on financial reporting quality and timeliness.
Responsibilities- Support the preparation of the Group’s half-year and year-end statutory financial statements and related disclosures
- Own allocated areas of the statutory reporting process (e.g., fixed assets, trade payables, cash flow)
- Maintain and review Group consolidation with reconciliations, consolidation adjustments, and monthly submissions
- Prepare UK subsidiary statutory financial statements under FRS 101 and Companies Act requirements
- Act as main contact for external auditors, handling information requests and queries
- Research technical accounting issues and ensure consistent IFRS application and Group policies
- Collaborate with Group finance teams to provide technical accounting support and drive process improvements
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong technical accounting background
- Experience preparing and/or auditing statutory accounts under FRS 101
- Experience preparing UK statutory financial statements
- Group consolidation and external reporting experience
- Exposure to complex, multi-entity organisations
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems
- Experience in a listed, international/global environment
- Stakeholder management
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and deliver under tight deadlines
- Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
- FRS 101 knowledge
- UK statutory financial statements
