INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANT WITH ENGLISH (SPANISH VALUED)

Working hours: Part-time (80% / 32 hours per week)

Work model: Hybrid working options and flexible hours

Salary: 7,120 – 9,000 PLN gross/month (for an 80% schedule; equivalent to 8,900 – 11,250 PLN gross/month full-time)

We are looking for an experienced Independent Accountant to manage the accounting operations of Finsa Polska. This autonomous role covers the complete accounting cycle of the Polish entity and requires strong knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations.

Based in Gdańsk and reporting directly to the European Finance Team in Spain, you will work independently while maintaining close collaboration with colleagues at our headquarters in Spain. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international environment and contribute to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and the smooth running of accounting processes for the Polish entity.

Job Description:

• Manage the full end-to-end accounting cycle for the Polish entity, ensuring compliance with Polish accounting standards, tax regulations, and Group policies.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records, including the timely recording and verification of accounting, tax, and commercial documents.
• Perform daily accounting operations, bookkeeping activities, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and all mandatory statutory and regulatory reports, including VAT, VAT-UE, CIT, PIT, JPK files, and submissions to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), National Bank of Poland (NBP), and other relevant authorities.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, customer and supplier settlements, bank reconciliations, cash flow, and payment processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and oversee the proper circulation and archiving of accounting documentation.
• Review sales documentation, resolve accounting-related discrepancies, and support the monitoring of warehouse transactions and inventory movements.
• Cooperate with auditors, banks, tax authorities, ZUS, and other external institutions, ensuring timely and accurate responses to requests and audits.
• Monitor changes in accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance and implementation where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with the European headquarters, providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and financial data in line with corporate guidelines and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Higher education degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Experience in a similar role, with proven experience independently managing the full accounting cycle of a limited liability company.
• Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Polish accounting standards, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions).
• Knowledge of SAP is considered a strong asset.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication within an international environment.
• Knowledge of Spanish is considered a significant advantage.
• Experience working in a multi-site organization and collaborating with a European headquarters is highly valued.
• Highly reliable, accurate, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and well-organized, with the ability to work independently.
