The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.

Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by product, by customer type and by value stream.2. Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward.3.

Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and other.4. Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.5. Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.6.

Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, and liability accounts.7. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.8. Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others.9.

Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.10. Work in special projects as required.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.2.

Minimum of 5 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment.3. Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.4. Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.5.

Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.6. Experience with construction accounting, variance analysis, financial accounting, account reconciliation, financial reporting, internal controls, financial statements, and inventory control.7. Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word.8.

Experience with an ERP system a plus.9. Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.11.
