- Hourly rate: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a leading company based in the cybersecurity sector who are seeking a Finance Operations Specialist to join their growing and dynamic team.
With a focus on billing and accounts receivable, the successful Finance Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations including customer billing, collections, payables, and bookkeeping. You will report directly to the Director of Finance and handle sensitive financial data, requiring a high level of integrity and discretion.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage end-to-end customer billing and subscription invoicing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity across financial systems.
- Take ownership of accounts receivable activities, proactively chasing outstanding balances, liaising directly with customers, and negotiating payment arrangements.
- Support accounts payable functions, including processing supplier invoices and assisting with payment runs.
- Perform daily bookkeeping duties and contribute to month-end close procedures, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Resolve customer billing queries professionally and efficiently, balancing customer satisfaction with revenue protection.
- Maintain high-quality billing and customer data across multiple platforms and systems.
- Assist with audits, tax submissions, and a range of ad hoc finance and process improvement projects.
- Provide broad finance support across transactional accounting functions, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts, or finance operations.
- Demonstrable integrity and discretion, as the role involves handling sensitive data.
- Proficiency in cloud accounting software,
- Experience in accounts receivable and comfortable discussing overdue invoices with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Based in Northern Ireland, available for occasional in-person meetings.
- Willingness to work late finishes twice a week to accommodate global customers.
