Finance Assistant - Trowbridge, Wiltshire, United Kingdom Salary: 25,989 - 26,824 per annum Hours per week: 37 hours Interview date: Week commencing Monday 31 August 2026 Our Accountancy team is looking for a finance assistant. The service provides financial information and advice to support council decision-making and budget management. It also maintains financial records, supports projects with financial analysis, and manages accounts, budgeting, and statutory financial reporting. This role provides accounting and budgeting support across council services including support in preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling financial systems, and managing income billing. It works closely with service managers, contractors, customers, and the wider Accountancy team to ensure financial information is accurate, payments and income are processed correctly, and financial queries are resolved efficiently. To be successful in this role you will have strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, along with the ability to work accurately with financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.
