Total compensation: 140‑160KCAD. Egmont Group Secretariat (EGS) is the secretariat of the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs). The Secretariat provides strategic, technical, and administrative support to the Egmont Group’s governance structures.

We are seeking an energetic and experienced professional to serve as Finance and Administrative Manager, a leadership role that contributes to the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the Secretariat. As a Finance and Administrative Manager The Finance and Administrative Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial sustainability, administrative integrity, and operational effectiveness of the Secretariat. Finance Managerial Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee all aspects of finance and accounting, including managing a small team of staff accountants.

Advise and support the Executive Secretary, Chair, and Board members on finance and accounting matters, operational and financial risks, annual audit and budget, forecasts, and liabilities. Lead the continuous evaluation of short‑ and long‑term strategic financial objectives. Manage processing of bi‑weekly payroll, allowances, and advances for Secretariat members.

Oversee financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting. Recommend strategies to enhance financial performance. Provide financial and contracting acumen for the development and negotiation of funding proposals, business agreements, and vendor contracts.

Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, provincial, and local regulations. Manage donor funds in accordance with donor agreements and Secretariat policies. Research and prepare position and other papers for consideration of the Egmont Group.

Exercise co‑signing authority for expenditures. Develop and empower staff through a supportive and collaborative approach. Perform duties described in the Finance and Administrative Policy Procedures (FAPP) under the chapter dedicated to the responsibilities of the Senior Financial Officer.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Secretary. Administrative/Operations Managerial Responsibilities Lead the Working and Regional Groups Team to deliver high‑quality outputs aligned with Egmont Group priorities. Set performance goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability across team functions.

Coordinate internal workflows, resource allocation, and reporting to support strategic priorities and operational efficiency. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members. Monitor team activities and prepare periodic reports to assess progress against strategic goals.

Ensure alignment of secondment objectives with Egmont Group priorities, facilitate onboarding, and foster a collaborative environment. Ensure timely communication of developments and decisions from Egmont leadership to the Working and Regional Groups Team. Support the Executive Secretary in cross‑functional initiatives related to HR, finance, communications, and governance.

Eligibility Criteria Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent).

Chartered Accountant (CPA) required. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial leadership, preferably in a not‑for‑profit sector. Minimum 5 years at a senior management level with team management experience.

Strong experience in general administration management, including HR, budgeting & planning, communication, and office management. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Experience working with a range of stakeholders, including Chair, Board Leadership, and senior industry leaders.
