Role Accountabilities:

  • Monitor fuel levels using a combination of electronic gauges, manual dipping and other approved methods.
  • Support Arcadis and client stakeholders with the scheduling and coordination of fuel deliveries.
  • Escort and supervise HGV fuel tanker deliveries on-site.
  • Complete monthly fuel tank inspections and liaise with third parties regarding maintenance and repair works.
  • Attend Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) tank inspections.
  • Undertake ad-hoc environmental sampling and monitoring activities as required, using equipment such as interface probes, dip meters, multiparameter meters, groundwater pumps, surveying equipment, Photo Ionisation Detectors (PIDs) and landfill gas analysers (training provided where required).
  • Capture and record fuel level and tank condition data digitally using dedicated tablets.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Arcadis project teams and United States Air Force (USAF) representatives.
  • Deliver all work in accordance with Arcadis and USAF requirements relating to quality, health and safety, and security.
  • Submit timesheets and project data accurately and within required timescales.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by Arcadis and your manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Ideally, experience of working on a USVF installation, with an existing Common Access Card considered advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Federal Security Clearance or pass the UK background checks required for Base Access Identification.
  • Reside within daily commuting distance of the East Anglian USVF Air Bases (overnight accommodation is not provided).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work primarily on-site throughout all seasons and weather conditions. Vehicles, equipment and reasonable business expenses will be provided by the company.
  • Good working knowledge of basic software applications and digital devices, including Android tablets, to ensure accurate digital data capture and reporting.
  • Experience in environmental monitoring, fuel management, inspection activities, or field-based technical work would be advantageous.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and professionalism in a regulated operational environment.
