Field Service Technician

Hitemp Insulation Pty Ltd – Wollongong NSW

We are looking for an energetic, full-time field service technician to join our expanding team.

Your role will provide routine maintenance and services to all brands of air compressors, generators and associated machinery equipment for a variety of customers onsite. Responsibilities will include diagnosis and repair all brands of air compressors, generators, blowers and associated equipment including refrigeration and desiccant dryers.

Installation and commissioning new air compressors, dryers, generators and pipework will also make up a smaller portion of this position.

Occasional overnight travel to the south coast and south-west are required to complete service runs.

Key responsibilities

Provide routine maintenance and services to all brands of air compressors, generators and associated machinery equipment

Fault find, Diagnose and repair all brands of air compressors, generators, blowers and associated equipment including refrigeration and desiccant dryers

Install and commission new air compressors, dryers, generators and pipework

Monitor conditions and provide advice to customers regarding compressed air systems

Complete appropriate safety checklists both pre and post completion of job

Complete all site inductions and entry requirements prior to entering client sites

Maintain appropriate documentation and reports for all jobs completed

Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the HITEMP Safety Management Plan

Work unsupervised and part of a crew

Customer service skills and liaison

About you

Experience in the following trades will be highly regarded: heavy vehicle / diesel mechanic, electrical, HVAC

Experience with compressed air systems and pneumatic equipment

Willingness to travel to complete service runs (approx 1 week every 3months)

Maintain a reasonable level of fitness that allows you to complete the physical requirements of the tasks

Reasonable level of knowledge to allow you to operate SIMPRO, mobile phone and tablet as required

Pass any alcohol, drug or other testing as required to meet specific client requirements

Pass a pre-employment (Cat 3) Medical

Maintain an unrestricted NSW driver's license

Represent Hitemp in a positive way to customers and avoid any attitudes or behaviours that may bring the reputation of Hitemp into disrepute

Maintain all Hitemp equipment and provisions to a high standard
