Field Service Technician (Controls)

We are currently recruiting for the position of Field Service Technician (Controls) for our Wenger Equipment. In this role you will be responsible for servicing our Wenger Equipment and ensuring systems operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
• Familiarize with a variety of extruder/dryer processes and procedures related to electrical and PLC matters.
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks, including leading and directing operators and other technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

• A technical background (education or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Siemens and/or Allen‑Bradley PLC.
• Knowledge in ControlLogic, RSVIEW3, Factory Talk SE & ME.
• Experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning complex machinery or capital equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
• A proactive and independent mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and passport, willing to travel globally (approximately 50%).
• Flexibility to work weekends as required.
