Your New Company We are partnered with a well‑established heavy civil contractor that specializes in utilities and road construction work for the city of New York and is well established with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. The company has over 300 employees and works across all 5 boroughs. They have a strong reputation for quality, safety, and long‑term client relationships, with steady growth and a stable backlog of work. Your New Role The company is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to support field operations on major civil and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced jobsite environments and enjoys working closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and agency inspectors. You will assist with layout, field coordination, documentation, quality control, and daily reporting—playing a key role in ensuring the project is built accurately, safely, and according to plan. What You’ll Need to Succeed 2–4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer in civil, infrastructure, or heavy construction. Experience supporting field operations on public‑sector or agency‑driven projects (DDC, DEP, ConEd, DOT etc.) is a strong plus Ability to read drawings, assist with layout, track quantities, and support daily field documentation Strong organizational skills and comfort working in active jobsite conditions Familiarity with RFI logs, submittals, daily reports, and quality‑control procedures Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field staff and management Proficiency with construction software (Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar) is beneficial Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship What You’ll Get in Return Competitive salary (typically $90k–$110k , depending on experience) Performance‑based bonus plus vehicle allowance, gas card and tolls.
