Feed centre manager

Riverina Milk is one of the largest dairy farms in Australia feeding 5000 animals daily on the Murray River, located in the Riverina region of the State of New South Wales.

The Feed Centre Manager is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting 3000 adult Holstein cows, 2000 heifer replacements and additional beef on dairy calves.

Key responsibilities:

Lead daily feed operations by overseeing the preparation of more than 300 tons of ration and provision of pen cleaning, sand freestall bedding, just-in-time commodity deliveries, clamp management and workshop.

Manage the operation, servicing and maintenance of the machinery fleet

Take strong ownership of mixing accuracy and delivery timing, equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, commodity deliveries and silage management

Participate in management meetings, provide advice on machinery suitability and selection and effectively troubleshoot issues

Collaborate with external advisors as required to ensure optimal animal productivity
