Facilities Technician

Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities at our Wendy's locations are in optimal working condition to provide our customers with a consistently outstanding dining experience. This includes routine and preventative maintenance of all HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other related equipment. Key Responsibilities: HVAC Maintenance and Repair Conduct regular inspections of the HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently.

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, cleaning ducts, and checking system pressures. Diagnose and resolve any HVAC system malfunctions. Refrigeration Maintenance and Repair Ensure all refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers and freezers, are operating at the correct temperatures and are well-maintained.

Conduct routine checks on refrigeration systems to detect leaks, ensure proper coolant levels, and maintain equipment to prevent failures. Address any system malfunctions in a timely manner. Preventive Maintenance Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems.

Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate. Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance tasks. General Maintenance Duties Address minor electrical, plumbing, and structural issues within the establishment.

Collaborate with management and staff to address any equipment concerns or operational challenges. Keep a detailed record of all maintenance and repair activities. Comply with all safety standards and regulations related to equipment maintenance and repair.

Vendor and Contractor Liaison Coordinate with third-party contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks. Ensure that all third-party work is up to the establishment's standards and within budget. Qualifications: Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on HVAC and refrigeration systems. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to equipment maintenance. Ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently and effectively.

Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in tight spaces and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to cold refrigeration units.
