Location: Tralee, Co. Kerry
Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 + Benefits
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated FM services within a complex and high-profile operational environment based in Kerry. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused and commercially minded facilities professional to take ownership of a significant contract, leading site operations while developing strong professional relationships with stakeholders, service partners and client representatives.As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of both Hard and Soft Facilities Management services, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the site.
You will be responsible for the management and coordination of integrated facilities services including building and asset management, technical services, cleaning, security, waste management, contractor management, health & safety compliance and service delivery performance.
The Role
Reporting to the regional operations leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of FM services, ensuring contractual commitments, service standards and client expectations are consistently achieved. You will provide leadership to site teams and specialist contractors, champion a culture of professionalism and accountability, and play a key role in maintaining a high-performing operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of integrated Facilities Management services across the site.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders.
- Manage site operations in line with agreed KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Lead, motivate and develop operational teams and service partners.
- Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Manage specialist contractors and ensure services are delivered safely and effectively.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, statutory requirements and company procedures.
- Monitor budgets, expenditure and contractor performance.
- Support lifecycle projects, asset management initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
- Drive a culture of professionalism, customer service and operational excellence.
About You
We're interested in speaking with experienced Facilities Management professionals who can confidently manage both operational delivery and client relationships within a busy environment.
You will ideally possess:
- Previous Facilities Management experience within healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, public sector or similar environments.
- A good understanding of Hard FM services, including Mechanical & Electrical systems, HVAC, BMS and Fire Systems.
- Experience managing Soft FM services and third-party contractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Good commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on service quality and continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Professional FM qualifications or industry memberships welcomed.
- Third-level qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services Trade or a related discipline would be an advantage but not essential with the right experience
- IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification advantageous.
