KD Sweetwater Services is partnering with a leading San Diego restaurant group to hire an Executive Kitchen Manager (Chef de Cuisine equivalent) for a flagship, high-volume concept. This is a growth-track role with the opportunity to step into an Executive Chef position within a year. About the Role Lead all back-of-house operations with a strong focus on systems, cost control, and consistency.

Ideal for a polished culinary leader who thrives in fast-paced, upscale environments and brings an owner-operator mindset. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily BOH operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and execution Manage labor, food cost, inventory, and purchasing systems Implement SOPs, prep pars, and recipe standardization Lead, train, and develop a large culinary team Execute high-volume service, events, and banquets Partner with FOH and leadership to ensure seamless operations Qualifications 3-5+ years in CDC, Exec Sous, or Kitchen Manager role Strong experience with labor, prime cost, and inventory systems Background in high-volume or banquet-driven environments Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills What’s Offered Competitive salary + bonus Growth within an expanding restaurant group Healthcare, PTO, paid parking Why Apply Through KD Sweetwater Direct access to ownership and leadership, interview guidance, and long-term career alignment.
