Executive Clinical Program Leader - Translational Clinical Oncology

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic medical and scientific leadership for multiple experimental agents in the Translational Clinical Oncology portfolio, guiding programs from early target ID through later-stage development. You will collaborate with development teams to accelerate portfolio progression, assess external opportunities, and drive scientific excellence across oncology programs. Your impact includes shaping clinical strategy, governance engagement, and external partnerships to improve patient outcomes.

• Provide strategic medical and scientific leadership across early oncology development programs
• Represent Translational Clinical Oncology programs in governance and leadership boards
• Lead clinical strategy development and input for studies and preclinical projects
• Review and provide feedback on protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory submissions
• Contribute scientific and clinical expertise to business development and portfolio reviews
• Lead and oversee external collaborations and strategic partnerships
• Mentor colleagues and act as an expert resource across Biomedical Research
• Ensure ethical and compliant conduct of clinical trials per GCP and procedures
• Engage external experts, investigators, and health authorities in early oncology development
• Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, and presentations for internal and external audiences

• MD required; MD/PhD preferred
• Board certification (or equivalent) in Hematology-Oncology
• 7+ years leading complex global early-phase hematology-oncology clinical programs in pharma/biotech
• Strong translational hematology/oncology and clinical research experience
• Recognized scientific and clinical expertise evidenced by publications
• Broad knowledge of oncology drug development and trial execution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven leadership and people management experience
