The Dublin International Piano Competition holds a special place in Ireland's musical life, bringing outstanding young pianists from around the world to Dublin every three years.

We are now looking for an Executive Assistant to join our small, friendly team from October 2026 and play a central part in everything we do, from the Competition itself in 2028 to our recitals, the Young Pianist Programme and our Schools Project.

The Role

The Executive Assistant will work with the Executive Director and Artistic Director and report directly to the Executive Director. The Executive Assistant will run the Competition office and help to plan and manage the Competition itself.

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for the following work:

  • Co-ordinating and planning the DIPC Young Pianist Programme to include entries, scheduling of auditions, venue booking/programme and all relevant administration
  • Working with the Co-Ordinator of the DIPC Schools Project to include direct involvement in the Project and all relevant administration.
  • Management and updating of DIPC website.
  • Management and updating of all DIPC social media platforms -creating content to include text/images & videos & maximisation of the platforms.
  • Drafting and sending emails to the DIPC mailing list
  • Dealing and corresponding with up to 150-200 international candidates
  • Helping with the management of the application process for the Competition
  • Populating, maintaining and updating all DIPC databases through Microsoft Excel
  • Performing all administrative duties for the Keyholders, Patrons & Friends of the DIPC, to include managing PayPal donations and bank standing orders
  • Assisting with the preparation and planning of all recitals and events promoted by DIPC.
  • Preparation of all programmes for recitals, invitations to events, including attendance at concerts/recitals, promotion, issuing press releases, organising seat allocations and distribution of tickets.
  • Attending DIPC Board / AGM & other relevant meetings and reporting to the Board where necessary

Closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Monday, August 31st 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed in September 2026, with the role commencing in October 2026.
