Job Details
Honest to Goodness is a hospitality-forward restaurant group operating three restaurants in East Nashville - Butcher & Bee, Fancypants, and Redheaded Stranger. Butcher & Bee and Fancypants both have a major focus on private events, and the primary responsibilities of this role are the full event lifecycle at these venues.
Butcher & Bee is our flagship restaurant. The Bee is vegetable-forward, Middle Eastern inspired. Redheaded Stranger, HTG’s second concept, is a neighborhood taco shop. Fancypants mixes fine dining food with a dinner party atmosphere.
We’re looking for an organized, hospitality-obsessed Events Manager to own private dining and events across Butcher & Bee, Fancypants, and occasional catering from Redheaded Stranger. This is more than a coordinator gig—you’ll be the connective tissue between our clients and our restaurants, shepherding every event from first inquiry through recap and thank you, and actively growing the book of business along the way.
What You’ll Do:
- Respond to every incoming event inquiry—we believe in providing prompt, high-quality, personalized responses
- Guide clients through menu selection, space options, and logistics; build customized proposals and process contracts and deposits
- Book and manage all events through Tripleseat, with working knowledge of Resy and Lightspeed
- Pursue outbound sales opportunities to grow event and catering revenue—this role sells, not just plans
- Produce complete weekly event documentation: BEOs, floor plans, run-of-show timelines, printed menus, and food labels
- Lead weekly BEO meetings and brief the management team on incoming events
- Partner with GMs, chefs, and the scheduling manager on staffing, service flow, and creative, client-tailored menu packages
- Be on-site for larger buyouts and in-house events, and close out billing after each one
- Keep packages, minimum spends, contracts, Tripleseat templates, and event web pages current across all concepts
- Regularly be on site for initial training, learning who we are as a company, building rapport with the management and chef team, and gaining hands on experience of the event execution
Why Honest to Goodness Hospitality
- Competitive base salary plus commission on event sales, with weekly pay
- Group health plans for full-time team members
- Employer-matched 401K
- Parental leave savings match program
- A path to grow within a multi-concept hospitality group
- A nationally-recognized restaurant with great press and a loyal local following
- A company that promotes from within and invests in its people
- A culture rooted in transparency, teamwork, and the belief that great hospitality starts behind the scenes
What We’re Looking For
- A naturally enthusiastic salesperson— each event is one of many for us, and may be once in a lifetime for the guest. You have to authentically mirror their interest and enthusiasm, married with professionalism
- Someone energized by cultivating new business and nurturing existing relationships to keep clients coming back
- A strong communicator, equally comfortable on a sales call with a client and in a quick huddle with a chef
- Proven experience in private events and private dining
- A restaurant or restaurant-adjacent background
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven: you don’t let things slip and you don’t need to be chased
- A guest-first mindset—you understand hospitality from the inside out
- Comfortable working across multiple brands and locations simultaneously
- Familiarity with Tripleseat, Resy, and Lightspeed/R365, or a demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly
- A curiosity about food & beverage.
Our Values

- Foster Connection Through Food. We source locally, cook seasonally, and create shared experiences that connect people to their food’s journey.
