Event and Meeting Sales Manager ALX Community is looking for an energetic, hard-working, and sociable Event Sales Manager for our 2 amazing locations. You will be leading members, neighbors, and businesses through their event and meeting experiences. ALX Community boasts 5 unique venues including: Alexandria’s coolest new rooftop space, 17 meeting rooms across 2 locations and Alexandria’s only dedicated conference center.

What will you be doing? Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach Facilitate a seamless transition from the contract-signing to the planning and execution of an event/meeting with all clients and vendors Hire, onboard, train and manage venue staff Build meaningful partnerships with hotels, meeting planners, wedding planners, vendors and service providers Review and present monthly and quarterly sales activity to identify sales trends, and maintain a successful operation Cultivate an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and creativity - both internally and externally. We want guests: to become fans, to rebook events, to refer us to others and to leave us stellar reviews!

From the warmth you exude as you build relationships with our members to the effectiveness you demonstrate when managing multiple activities at once, it all combines to ensure you always embody the ALX culture of learning, growing, and giving...and have tons of fun in the process! What will you be doing? Soliciting new members and guests through networking, prospecting, and lead generation to use our dedicated Conference Center, meeting and exceeding monthly revenue goals.

Overseeing meeting logistics, welcoming guests, coordinating outside vendors and monitoring daily meetings. Organizing, booking and coordinating simultaneous meetings while communicating with all stakeholders and ALX team members. Improve procedures using existing metrics and KPIs.

Establishing a strong local community presence via meeting planning and individual networking efforts. Create an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and creativity - both internally and externally. Who are you?
