Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis. Location: Cardiff or Whiteley, Hybrid Salary: £24,500 to £30,000 depending on experience plus excellent company benefits and career progression Closing date for applications: 7th May 2026 The opportunity We’re looking for a curious, analytically minded eTrade Analyst to help shape the future of our rapidly growing SME eTrade portfolio. Since launching our suite of eTrade products, our SME business has seen significant growth.

Now we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with data, spotting patterns, and turning insight into action. Just as importantly, you’ll be confident in presenting those insights clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders, helping to inform decision‑making and influence the direction of our SME products. Our SME Portfolio Underwriting team plays a vital role in ensuring sustainable, profitable growth.

You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers and senior colleagues, using analytics to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and support strategic conversations in a fast‑paced insurance environment. Whether you’re early in your career or bringing existing experience, this role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact. What you’ll be doing Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insight under the guidance of Portfolio Managers. Deliver regular analysis to support data‑driven decision‑making. Contribute to the continuous improvement of SME products through analytical recommendations.

Build a strong understanding of market trends, distribution channels and the competitive landscape. Play an active role in a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team culture. What you’ll bring Experience in underwriting or claims, or a good understanding of insurance processes.

Strong numerical skills with the ability to interpret trends and outcomes. Some exposure to using data analysis to support decisions or profitability insights (desirable, not essential). Confidence in communicating insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.
