The Role

Woodmarque is seeking an experienced Specialist Joinery Estimator to join its team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ideally come from a bespoke joinery, specialist fit-out or high-end interiors background, with strong experience pricing and estimating detailed joinery packages.

This role would suit someone who understands both the technical and commercial side of bespoke joinery, and who can accurately review drawings, specifications and tender information to prepare competitive quotations.

Key Responsibilities

Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Prepare detailed estimates for bespoke joinery and fit-out packages.

Complete material, labour and subcontractor take-offs.

Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Prepare accurate costings and tender submissions.

Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks and commercial opportunities.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, designers and internal project teams.

Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

Maintain accurate estimating records and tender information.

Assist with handover from estimating into project delivery where required.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as an Estimator within specialist joinery, bespoke interiors or fit-out.

Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing, materials, finishes and installation methods.

Ability to read and interpret detailed manufacturing and architectural drawings.

Good understanding of labour and material costs.

Strong numerical and commercial skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Confident dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

Good IT and estimating software skills.
