Equity Research Analyst Location: New Delhi (On-site) About CAVI Capital CAVI Capital is an investment management firm focused on fundamental, value-oriented, and opportunistic investing. The firm sponsors and manages the CAVI First Principles Trust, a long-only Category III Alternative Investment Fund. Our investment approach is rooted in independent thinking, deep fundamental research, and a long-term perspective.

We seek to understand businesses from first principles and invest where we believe market prices materially diverge from intrinsic value. The Opportunity This role is designed for individuals who are serious about investing and want to accelerate their development through hands-on experience and close mentorship. Unlike many research roles that focus on narrow tasks or supporting large teams, this position offers exposure to the complete investment process—from idea generation and business analysis to valuation, portfolio monitoring, and investment discussions.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals, develop independent views on businesses and industries, and contribute meaningfully to the research process. Responsibilities Conduct detailed research on listed companies, industries, and sectors. Analyze annual reports, investor presentations, conference call transcripts, regulatory filings, and other primary sources.

Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and industry databases. Prepare investment notes, research reports, and investment memoranda. Monitor portfolio companies and watchlist names for material developments.

Track industry, regulatory, and macroeconomic developments relevant to investment decisions. Participate in investment discussions and challenge assumptions through independent analysis. Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in equity research, valuation, corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment analysis, or a related analytical role.

Exceptional candidates with less experience will also be considered. Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills are essential. Ability to analyze business models, competitive positioning, and capital allocation decisions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.

Genuine interest in public markets and long-term investing.
