Job Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Equipment Operation & Monitoring Assist in operating semiconductor fabrication equipment (Lithography, Etch, Deposition, CMP, Metrology, etc.). Monitor tool performance, process stability, and equipment health.
Conduct daily checks, preventive inspections, and tool start-up/shutdown procedures. 2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Support senior engineers in performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities. Troubleshoot basic equipment alarms, mechanical/electrical issues, and process deviations.
Document maintenance activities, tool histories, and spare part usage. 3. Process & Quality Support Ensure equipment runs meet process specifications with minimum variability. Work with process engineering teams to support tool qualification and calibration.
Follow cleanroom protocols and quality standards (5S, ISO, safety norms). 4. Data Recording & Documentation Record machine parameters, downtime details, and maintenance logs accurately. Use Equipment Monitoring Systems (EMS), MES, and logging tools for reporting.
Maintain shift handover reports and escalation notes. 5. Safety & Compliance Follow all cleanroom guidelines, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) rules, and PPE requirements. Participate in equipment and safety training programs.
Requirements Skills Required Technical Skills Basic understanding of electronics, electromechanics, sensors, and automation. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing (added advantage). Ability to read technical diagrams/engineering drawings.
Familiarity with PLCs, vacuum systems, pneumatics, or robotics (preferred). Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability. Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and rotational shifts.
Good communication and teamwork skills. High attention to detail and discipline. Work Environment Cleanroom environment (Class 10/100/1000 depending on tool area) Shift-based operations (24x7 Manufacturing Fab) Use of full cleanroom PPE (bunny suit, gloves, safety gear) Interaction with cross-functional engineering teams
