What You'll Do
As the Environmental Engineer, you'll serve as the environmental compliance resource for three manufacturing facilities, partnering closely with plant leadership, EHS professionals, and production teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manage environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing locations. Prepare and submit environmental regulatory reports including DMR, TRI, Tier II, and other required filings. Coordinate environmental permitting activities, including NPDES, air permits, SPCC plans, and waste management programs. Support regulatory inspections and environmental audits. Maintain compliance documentation and environmental records. Investigate environmental incidents and assist with corrective actions. Provide environmental guidance and support to operations and maintenance teams. Partner with EHS Coordinators and Safety Technicians to promote continuous environmental improvement. Assist with environmental training and regulatory awareness initiatives. Monitor changes in environmental regulations and implement necessary compliance improvements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience in environmental compliance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Willingness to travel regularly between manufacturing facilities.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
NPDES permitting Air permitting and emissions compliance SPCC plans Hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations Environmental reporting (DMR, TRI, Tier II) Environmental audits ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems Working with state and federal regulatory agencies
