Engineering Technician

Position Overview: Apparent Technologies is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD software skills, a background in mechanical design, and experience with metal manufacturing processes. This role involves creating detailed manufacturing drawings and CAD models, supporting the engineering team, and resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities: * Create accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings and CAD models. * Use SolidWorks CAD software to design components and systems. * Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanical component design, prototype builds and fixture design. * Address immediate production issues and work with management to develop long-term solutions. * Maintain familiarity with drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning. Requirements: * Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software. * Knowledge of component and system design. * Familiarity with drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning. * Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). * Experience with CAD modeling and assembly drawings. * Experience converting 3D models to 2D prints using CAD software. Experience: * Minimum 2 years of experience with 3D CAD software. * Minimum 1 year of manufacturing line experience (preferably in the semiconductor industry).

Desirable Skills: * CMM experience (preferred but not required). * Experience with welding and/or machining equipment. * Passion for designing and building mechanical systems.
