Job Summary: The Associate Test & Validation Engineer is an entry-level professional who applies basic engineering principles to test and validate Allegro's semiconductor products.
This role works under close supervision to execute test plans, collect data, and report findings, learning the fundamentals of the validation process, test equipment, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to the success of product validation by executing established test procedures on bench setups or automated test equipment (ATE).
- Supports senior engineers by setting up test hardware, running experiments, and collecting and organizing test data.
- Executes specific portions of larger validation plans by following detailed instructions.
- Ensures clear documentation of test setups, procedures, and results for review by the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree. No prior professional experience is required.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, analog/digital circuits, and standard lab equipment.
- Familiarity with a programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) is a plus.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.
