ProFound Staffing is partnering with a growing, environmentally conscious manufacturing company in Houston, Texas to place a Project Manager with hands-on experience in military aircraft hangar renovations, new build designs for NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command) or USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), or commercial hangar and aviation infrastructure projects . This company doesn't need a Project Manager who simply keeps projects on track — they need one who drives them forward.

The right Project Manager serves as the critical link between engineering, production, installation teams, and the client — catching misalignment early and escalating issues before they impact cash flow. When a subcontractor goes silent or an installation snag threatens the timeline, this Project Manager acts without being prompted.

Work Schedule: This is an onsite position in Houston, Texas . Travel: Flexibility to be prepared to travel at least 2-4 times per month. Most trips will be day and night for site visits and client meetings.
In the first months, travel will be more intense to build relationships and travel to client projects for educational purposes. Education: A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, fire projection, electrical or civil engineering Requirements: Brings a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in renovations and new build designs of military aircraft hangars for NAVFAC, USACE, or comparable commercial hangar and aviation infrastructure projects. Walks construction sites with confidence, commands a room when needed, and takes decisive control of situations without hesitation — field presence matters here.
Actively adopts new technologies and puts AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and similar platforms to work on the job. Responsibilities: Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and clients have a great experience working with the company. Be the cornerstone of each project by communicating with the client, internal engineering, production and installation departments to move the project along its schedule.
Ensure lessons learned in the field are translated in the design, manufacturing and installation processes for future projects. Built strong relationships with subcontractors. Ensure milestone billing is performed on time and in case there are delays they are communicated internally asap to ensure cashflow issues can be anticipated.
Soft Skills: Communicates clearly and confidently in both written and verbal form, keeping teams aligned and clients informed at every stage. Performs consistently under pressure and delivers results, even when the stakes are high and the timeline is tight. Juggles multiple priorities with ease, managing time effectively so nothing falls through the cracks.
