The Role of the Engineering Manager The Engineering Manager will take ownership of day-to-day production operations at a busy Liverpool site. Key Responsibilities: Manage and motivate a team of 3 maintenance engineers, providing direct support and guidance. Oversee daily production plans, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Take ownership of maintenance schedules, repairs, and site improvements, working with production machinery and conveyor systems. Manage budgets, liaise with suppliers, and drive cost-effective solutions. Bring fresh ideas to improve processes, output, and reliability.

Ensure all maintenance and production activities meet high standards of safety and compliance. About You Time-served Maintenance Engineer background (multi-skilled preferred). 5+ years in maintenance engineering. 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong, hands-on engineering skills with the ability to lead by example.

Background in manufacturing, production, packaging, transport, logistics, or warehousing. Proven track record of reducing downtime and improving operational performance. A confident, strong character who can inspire and develop a team.
