About Atomgrid

Atomgrid is building a new-age, asset-light, R&D-driven specialty chemicals platform, combining process innovation, market intelligence, and reliable contract manufacturing.

We operate across Agrochemicals, Surfactants & Emulsifiers, Flavours & Fragrances, and Pharmaceuticals, with a growing team of scientists, technology engineers, and project managers focused on delivering high-quality solutions, on time and at the right cost.

Founded by IIT-IIM alumni and backed by leading VCs, we’re building the manufacturing capabilities of a global specialty chemicals company from the ground up.

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineer – Technology Transfer with strong hands-on experience in agrochemical formulations, process scale-up, and plant integration.

This is a highly execution-oriented role for someone who enjoys being at the intersection of R&D, manufacturing, and contract manufacturing partners — taking processes from the laboratory to commercial production and solving technical challenges on the ground.

What you’ll work on

End-to-End Process Scale-Up

  • Oversee the R&D process from laboratory scale through commercial production.
  • Work closely with R&D teams on process optimisation, modifications, and pilot-scale trials.
  • Lead scale-up from commercial pilot to plant-scale implementation, ensuring technical feasibility and process reliability.

Plant-Scale Integration

  • Work with manufacturing teams to optimise plant processes.
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges during scale-up and production.
  • Ensure successful technology transfer and reliable implementation at manufacturing sites.

🤝 Job Work Site Management

  • Act as the primary liaison with contract manufacturing partners.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and resolve on-ground manufacturing challenges.
  • Oversee raw material receipt, in-process quality checks, and finished goods dispatch.
  • Represent Atomgrid on-site while ensuring process integrity and confidentiality.
  • Track manufacturing trends, capacity utilisation, and new developments across key regions.

⚙️ Plant Operations & Manufacturing Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day plant and project activities across manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities follow Atomgrid’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Track and report plant operations data on a daily basis.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deviations and share findings with management.
  • Support commissioning and manufacturing activities across India.

What we’re looking for
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in agrochemical formulations manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or an agrochemicals-related field.
  • Strong exposure to contract/job-work manufacturing setups for herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.
  • Good understanding of agrochemical formulation processes, particularly EC, SC, WP, and WG.
  • Familiarity with plant operations, technology transfer, and plant operation documentation.
  • Ability to prepare and manage plant operation reports, BMR documentation, and site assessment reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
  • Dynamic, goal-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine “go-getter” attitude and willingness to travel extensively across India.

Why Atomgrid?

This is an opportunity to join a well-funded company at an early stage of its journey and play a foundational role in building its manufacturing capabilities.

You’ll get to:

  • Work closely with a highly driven team building something ambitious in specialty chemicals.
  • Take ownership of projects from R&D scale-up to commercial manufacturing.
  • Work directly with manufacturing partners and solve real-world plant challenges.
  • Be part of building Atomgrid’s manufacturing network from the ground up.
  • Grow rapidly in a high-learning, high-responsibility environment.

Competitive compensation + performance incentives.

If you have strong agrochemical formulations and scale-up experience and enjoy working hands-on with manufacturing operations, we’d love to hear from you.
