Role Description

The Engineer In Training (E.I.T) role is a full-time position based in Winnipeg, MB. The E.I.T. will support project teams by assisting with design tasks, preparing drawings and technical documentation, and performing basic calculations under the supervision of licensed engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities may include site visits, data collection, and helping with project coordination and reporting.

The E.I.T. will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to civil engineering and architecture projects. The role is designed to provide practical experience, mentorship, and exposure to all phases of project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in or recent completion of a post-secondary program in Civil Engineering.
  • Foundational knowledge of engineering design principles, and construction practices.
  • Ability to use basic engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) and standard office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in working with First Nations communities and willingness to learn about community-driven project approaches.
  • Ability to work on-site in Winnipeg, MB, and occasionally travel to project locations as required.
