Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is skilled in designing and delivering enterprise-grade integrations, including RESTful API development and end‑to‑end message orchestration across systems. Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using WebMethods Integration Server, Flow Services, Adapters, and Trading Networks. Build and enhance backend components using Core Java, following OOP principles and coding best practices. Develop, consume, and support RESTful APIs for system-to-system integrations.

Execute end‑to‑end integration processes including message transformation, routing, validation, and error handling. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross‑functional teams to gather and translate integration requirements. Troubleshoot integration and production issues, support deployments across environments, and ensure adherence to performance, security, and coding standards.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8–10 years of experience in WebMethods integration development. Strong hands‑on expertise in WebMethods (Integration Server, Flow Services, Adapters, Trading Networks). Solid Core Java fundamentals with experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
