Engagement Manager
15Rock
Job Description
15Rock builds TrendCap, an AI research platform producing institutional-grade company and sector research. We work with some of the largest firms and investors in the US and Canada, helping them understand and manage risk and identify value-creation opportunities inside their portfolio companies. We deliver in days what a four-person case team may take three weeks to produce—and partners carry the work into CEO conversations.
Most technology companies never get past procurement. We sit where AI meets decisions measured in billions. It is an unusual seat, and it takes an unusual person.
The role
You own engagements end to end: scope the request, direct the analysis on our platform, shape what the partner presents, and run the client conversation yourself. Your clients include partners at global consulting firms, executives at large global corporates and major institutional investors.
- Value-creation scan of a multi-billion-dollar public industrial distributor, delivered in 48 hours
- Growth levers for one of North America's leading apparel retailers
- Sizing a multi-billion-dollar government end-market for an advanced manufacturer
- Performance scorecard across a provincial hospital system
- Recurring research program for an international sustainable-finance organization
Underneath it all: AI powered product-level peer benchmarking, built even where the peers are private.
This is not a prompt-review job. The platform does the heavy lifting; you do the thinking, the judgment calls, and the client.
What you'll do
- Conduct company diagnostics and value-creation research across margins, cost structure, growth levers, and comparable-company analysis, including private peers
- Direct our AI pipelines: set the analytical approach, don't just check output, and feed what you learn back into the product
- Turn full reports into executive memos and partner-ready decks
- Hold every deliverable to a top-tier firm's standard, present it, and own the iteration
Who you are
- You have 2–5 years in strategy consulting, transaction advisory or valuation, sell-side equity research, or another analytically rigorous, client-facing environment; experience at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, a Big 4 firm, or a leading research platform is relevant but not required
- You produce analysis that holds up in front of a CFO and decks a partner can present without rewriting
- AI tools are already core to how you work, and you want to go deeper
- You are comfortable owning the client relationship, not just the workstream; CFA progress is a plus
What you get
- Base salary of $110,000–$140,000 CAD
- Meaningful early-employee equity—the number and the logic, shared early in the process
- Health and dental, RRSP matching
- Work directly with the founder; onboarding from our delivery lead, a McKinsey alum
- Client exposure years before a partner track would give it
Details
- Toronto, on-site five days a week
- This posting is for an existing vacancy in a newly created position
- AI-assisted tools help us organize and screen applications. People review candidate evidence and make interview and hiring decisions
