We are looking for a motivated, team-oriented person to support our diverse, growing team of building performance professionals. Our focus is sustainability & green buildings. SCI works with development and construction teams throughout the greater northeast to make better multifamily buildings, with a specific focus in ENERGY Star Homes, LEED for Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, National Green Building Standard, Passive House, HERS Rating, state incentive programs, and code compliance.
The Energy Analyst will support benchmarking, compliance tracking, and utility data analysis across multifamily building portfolios, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and program compliance. Essential Duties: Build, review, and maintain large datasets of multifamily housing utility data. Support benchmarking, compliance tracking, and energy performance reporting for building portfolios. Conduct quality assurance of utility data sources and supporting documentation.
Research utility providers and data access requirements and obtain utility data. Communicate with utilities, clients, and internal team members to resolve data access and quality issues. Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation and benchmarking deliverables.
Track benchmarking milestones, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements. Assist with automation and process improvements for data workflows and reporting tools. Collaborate with internal teams to improve data reliability and consistency.
Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, data analytics, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Experience working with large datasets or data analysis preferred.
Experienced in querying and analyzing data with AWS Athena, MySQL, Python and PostgreSQL Intermediate Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Interest in energy efficiency, buildings, or sustainability.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Possess a professional demeanor in dealing with clients and team members.
