Salary/ Benefits

• Salary Scale: £29,430 -£34,197 per annum (pro rata)
• Full time 35 hours per week or part time 30 hours per week are available
• 25 days annual leave entitlement (pro rata)
• 12 Stat days (pro rata)

About the Programme

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of care-experienced young people across Belfast. As part of the long-established Belfast Health and Social Care Trust Employability Service, delivered in partnership with Include Youth since 2009, the successful candidate will support the development and delivery of innovative employability support for young people in and leaving care aged 16+.

About You

• Recognised 3rd.level qualification E.g. Humanresources,Business, Training/ Education,SocialWork or Youth Work
• Knowledgeof issuesaffecting socially excluded young people facinglong term unemployment andsolutionsfor overcomingthem
• Knowledgeof theLookedAfter System
• Self-Managementincludingregular monitoringandreporting and experienceworking to targets
• Experience of working with socially excluded young people
• Confidence and drivetowork on own initiativeiskey
• Abilityto effectivelynetwork and build strongrelationships particularly with Employersandcolleagues
• Good IT skills
• Commitment to Include Youths values and principals and to childrens rights.
• Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle. This criterion may be waived if a disability prohibits the applicant from driving. In this case, please demonstrate how you would meet the mobility requirements of this post.

What youll do

Working closely with social workers, personal advisers, employers and community partners, you will

• help create pathways into education, training and employment by securing meaningful work experience, traineeships and job opportunities.
• build strong partnerships across statutory, voluntary, community and private sectors, raising awareness of the strengths and support needs of care-experienced young people
• ensure young people receive the guidance, encouragement and opportunities needed to achieve their potential
