Position Summary The Business Development Executive will support the Emerging Middle Market team by serving as a strategic partner to Relationship Managers and market leadership. The role focuses on sales enablement, client relationship deepening, portfolio expansion, and business development effectiveness. Responsibilities Lead the structuring of high‑value, complex deals and oversee credit approvals, ensuring alignment with client needs and bank objectives.
Serve as the primary client advocate, managing high‑value client portfolios, driving cross‑selling, retention, and profitability. Coordinate outreach efforts, support pipeline activity, and identify opportunities to expand markets of influence. Escalate complex client issues, apply strategic problem‑solving, and resolve conflicts while maintaining strong client relationships.
Implement sales enablement initiatives to drive a consistent and disciplined sales cadence strategy. Lead market coverage strategies, identify share‑of‑wallet opportunities, and align strategies with business goals. Represent the bank at industry forums and conferences, providing insights on trends, competition, and emerging products.
Engage with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to align strategies, address client needs, and deliver holistic business solutions. Deliver performance, client satisfaction, market trend, and strategic initiative reports to leadership. Provide strategic advisory on loan products, options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements to deliver tailored solutions.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and compliance policies in all relationship management activities. Apply risk‑management frameworks to protect the bank while pursuing growth opportunities. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in relationship management, account management, or portfolio management within a corporate banking environment.
Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting. Knowledge of credit qualifications and associated credit knowledge, if a credit‑qualifiable role. Advanced level proficiency in project management, change management, product knowledge, regulatory compliance, deal structuring, portfolio management, credit risk assessment, customer service, stakeholder management, negotiation, and customer relationship building.
Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, client industry developments, and competitive positioning. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $122,400 – $228,000 (base) with potential commission and performance‑based incentives. Additional benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, retirement savings plans, and other perks.
