Electrical Field Service Technician

About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and motivated Electrical Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support and services across the Queenstown region. This role involves the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of specialized electrical equipment at customer locations. You will be the face of the company, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert technical assistance and prompt resolution of issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an independent and technically adept individual to travel and work directly with clients in a dynamic field service capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission electrical equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostic testing on electrical machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Provide technical training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Document all service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional conduct and technical expertise.

Requirements

• Trade qualification as an Electrician or equivalent technical diploma/certificate.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a field service or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Queenstown area and surrounding regions.
