ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Department Manager, the position holder performs the design and validation of the electrical component of projects developed by system integrators. Once the system build is complete, the engineer is responsible for the electrical validation of the assembled project.

Responsabilities

• Perform electrical design and drafting, and ensure the verification and updating of electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical;
• Integrate technical information and specifications into drawings and complete orders for associated components;
• Perform layout drafting of components and electrical wiring within control panels;
• Perform layout drafting of control systems (electrical, automation, control, and power);
• Read, interpret, adapt, and develop the schematics and diagrams needed to carry out projects;
• Ensure the application of established safety principles and procedures;
• Verify electrical components during system start-ups (IO testing, equipment configuration, harmonics measurements, etc.);
• Update and sign as-built drawings;
• Maintain and draft documents and certification files related to standards (CE, CSA, and UL).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
• Knowledge of Word and Excel;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical;
• Knowledge of CE, CSA, and UL certifications;
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs, variable frequency drives, electrical signals, etc.;
• Strong teamwork, project management, and technical writing skills;
• Rigorous, flexible, excellent analytical skills, professional, and conscientious;
• Creative, autonomous, and resourceful;
• Functional knowledge of French and English (oral and written); support for sales and external clients;
• Available outside regular working hours to respond to emergencies.
