Electrical Design Engineer | Water & Wastewater | Belfast
Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with an established engineering contractor as they continue to invest in their multidisciplinary design capability supporting major water and wastewater programmes across the UK.
As part of this continued growth, they are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with previous water industry experience to join their engineering team.
With an immediate workload supporting ECI projects for Severn Trent and United Utilities, you will have the opportunity to influence projects at an early stage before supporting their development through tender and into detailed design and delivery.

Your new role as Electrical Design Engineer
As Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the development and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing electrical designs for water and wastewater infrastructure
- Producing electrical calculations, specifications, schedules and technical documentation
- Supporting the specification and selection of electrical equipment
- Contributing to ECI, optioneering and value engineering activities
- Developing designs through tender, design development and detailed design stages
- Coordinating electrical requirements with mechanical, process and civil engineering disciplines
- Working alongside project and construction teams to develop practical and buildable solutions
- Reviewing design information and supporting technical assurance
- Providing engineering support throughout project delivery and resolving design queries as required
What you will need to succeed as Electrical Design Engineer
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous electrical design experience within the water or wastewater sector
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to water infrastructure
- Experience producing calculations, specifications and technical design documentation
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Consultancy, contractor and design & build backgrounds will all be considered
- Chartered status, or progression towards Chartership, would be advantageous but is not essential
