Role Summary: The Service Quality Engineering department ensures rapid resolution of quality issues by collaborating with Subaru of America, Subaru Canada, Inc., Subaru Corporation, Toyota Motor North America, and suppliers.
The role focuses on Subaru's battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, supporting field investigations, diagnostics, and training high voltage diagnostics experts and quality investigation talents within NASI, SBR, and TMNA. Primary Responsibilities: Lead vehicle quality investigations, determine root causes, and develop action plans. Travel within North America to Subaru retail locations as needed.
Supervise and guide a team of specialists, managing workload, providing training, and ensuring performance goals are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address quality issues and ensure timely resolutions. Gather and analyze data, prepare reports for management, and oversee investigation processes.
Prioritize issues based on severity and customer impact, and recommend quality improvements. Additional Responsibilities: Maintain effective communication with management and technical teams. Stay informed on industry trends and technologies to improve investigative processes.
Plan and organize retailer visits and quality meetings, including international coordination. Required Skills and Qualifications: 6-8 years of experience in high voltage diagnostics and quality management, with knowledge of EV architecture and high voltage components. Strong attention to detail, technical investigation skills, and ability to handle confidential information.
Experience managing teams of at least five direct reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cross-cultural communication skills, including interaction with Japanese teams. Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in mechatronics or electrical engineering.
Work Environment: Hybrid role with remote work 2 days/week after onboarding, and 25% travel required. Compensation: Base salary range: $92,000 - $130,000/year, plus benefits including health plans, 401K, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and vehicle discounts. Employment Details: Full-time, in the Quality Assurance function within the Motor Vehicle Manufacturing industry.
