Job Description

Job Title EHS Specialist (Environmental Health & Safety) Locations Danvers, Massachusetts, United States; Woburn, Massachusetts, United States Job Summary Join Johnson & Johnson's Cardiovascular team as an EHS Specialist responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, developing and implementing safety programs, and fostering a proactive safety culture across manufacturing, research, and laboratory settings. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. Create safe workspaces and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) for all operations.

Maintain record‐keeping and tracking of safety metrics and incidents. Develop, implement, and manage corporate safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Fire Prevention, Laser and Radiation Safety, Emergency Action Plan, Lab Safety, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, and Machine Shop Safety. Support environmental reporting and permitting requirements such as SPCC, Tier II reporting, Triennial Reporting, Oil Spill Prevention Plan, Flammable Storage Permit, and Hazardous Waste Management Plan.

Ensure regulatory agency compliance for labeling, containment, disposal, employee training, and documentation in the universal waste program. Support occupational health programs and respond to emergency situations in coordination with external responders. Instill a proactive safety culture through behavioral‐based safety initiatives, risk assessment, hazard identification, and mitigation control development.

Develop, prepare, and deliver classroom and "hands‐on" training, including online and virtual training modules. Investigate incidents and injuries to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Support contractor safety programs and permit work within the facility.

Support industrial hygiene programs and conduct sampling for chemical and noise hazards as needed. Provide field team safety guidance for radiation safety and respiratory protection programs, serving as the point of contact for field inquiries. Qualifications BS in Engineering or Safety & Occupational Health Applied Sciences required. 1‐2 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within manufacturing, research & development, pharmaceutical/biotechnology or laboratory environments.

Well versed in safety, environmental, and health regulations (OSHA, EPA, MA‐DEP, DOT, RCRA, etc.). Experience developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs. Strong presentation, communication, and training skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to travel up to 10% of time to ABiomed facilities, with potential for overnight travel 2‐3 times per year, including internationally. Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.

Preferred: Auditing experience and certification as an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Eligible for an annual performance bonus and the Company's long‐term incentive program.
