Job Description
Our client is seeking a EHS Manager who will be responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety programs across a manufacturing campus. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and environmental systems that support a proactive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to influence safety performance at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and KPIs.
- Coordinate internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports.
- Serve as a resource for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership.
- Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements.
- Recommend and implement engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE improvements.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide EHS leadership, guidance, and support across the facility and associated campus locations.
- Lead safety initiatives that strengthen a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- Support workers' compensation case management, return‑to‑work programs, and injury‑prevention initiatives.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and HR to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement.
- Conduct new‑hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and internal requirements.
- Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
- 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/federal regulations.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior‑based safety programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all organizational levels.
- Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health & safety, engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent.
- Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
