EdTech Sales Specialist (K-12 Schools) – Inbound Leads Job Description Shiminly (by Sigma Systems) is an early-stage EdTech company providing life skills programs (pre-recorded and live virtual courses) to K-12 schools and post-secondary institutions . We are generating consistent inbound interest from schools and are looking for a sales professional who can convert that interest into institutional partnerships . This is a B2B sales role focused on schools as buyers — not student or parent enrollment.
What You'll Do Engage with inbound leads from schools, administrators, and districts Identify decision-makers and navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes Conduct virtual demos of our programs Align offerings with school needs, budgets, and timelines Manage the full sales cycle: initial contact demo proposal close Handle objections and maintain momentum through internal review processes Track pipeline and follow-ups in CRM or internal tools What We're Looking For Experience selling to K-12 schools, school districts, or educational institutions (EdTech, curriculum, or program sales strongly preferred) OR experience working within schools (teacher, admin, program coordinator) with strong interest in sales Ability to engage confidently with principals, administrators, and decision-makers Experience managing longer, multi-step sales cycles Strong communication and follow-up discipline Comfortable in a startup environment with ownership of results Nice to Have EdTech or curriculum sales experience Experience with school budgeting or procurement processes Experience running demos or presentations to institutional buyers Role Details Location: Marlborough, MA (local candidates preferred) Schedule: Part-time to start (20–30 hours/week), potential to grow Work environment: Hybrid or onsite preferred Compensation Base hourly rate + performance-based bonuses tied to closed deals Opportunity to grow into a full-time role as we scale Why Join Shiminly Early-stage company with strong growth potential Warm inbound leads (no heavy cold calling) Direct impact on revenue and product adoption Opportunity to help shape the sales process from the ground up How to Apply Please include: A brief summary of your experience working with or selling to schools Any experience with B2B sales or program implementation Your availability
