Economic Development Summer Student Hamilton

Engage in community innovation as the Economic Development Coordinator Summer Student at YWCA Hamilton. Support a vibrant MakerSpace environment focused on creativity and hands-on learning. As a summer student, you will contribute to the YWCA Hamilton's Centre of Innovation by managing MakerSpace day-to-day operations and assisting in program development.

This role targets individuals passionate about education, technology, and fostering innovation while ensuring a collaborative and respectful atmosphere. You will play a key part in supporting community events and gathering feedback to enhance programs. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain MakerSpace equipment and operations • Collaborate with educators to align programs with curriculum • Collect and analyze member feedback for improvements • Organize community showcases for MakerSpace offerings • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and regulations Requirements: • Aged 15 to 30 at employment start • Enrolled in post-secondary studies in relevant fields • Knowledge of MakerSpace tools and safety protocols • Strong communication skills in English; French is a plus • Willingness to obtain required safety and police checks Demonstrate your commitment to community empowerment through innovation and education with YWCA Hamilton. #J-18808-Ljbffr
