Job Title: Early Year’s Educator
Employer: Cocoon Childcare Limited
Location: Oldcourt Shopping Centre, Moritz House, Parklands Rd, Ballycullen, Dublin 24, D24 PK07
Annual Salary: €37,544
Weekly Hours: 40 hrs

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a good level of communication with all educators, including the management team of the centre.
Ensure that you respect the rights of the children in your care & their parents.
Ensure that you engage in respectful interactions with the children & support their learning & development.
Work as part of a team, fostering good working relationships with your colleagues.
Attend all relevant training when required.
Attend team meetings, contributing in a positive & constructive way.
Work with management to organise room movement information & inform parents of room moves.
Ensure children’s engagement in activities, using all equipment at your disposal. Allow the children the opportunity to be active participants in their learning, by speaking to them, valuing their opinions & working with them to develop activities which ignite their curiosity. For non-verbal children, you should observe their play & discuss their interests with their parents.
Ensure all relevant forms are completed, in accordance with the policies & procedures of the company.
Deal with all queries from parents, consulting with the management team.
Ensure that the environment is child led & child focused.
Conduct general cleaning duties of the unit & branch when requested.
Be willing to work in other parts of the branch when required.
Maintain child registers on a daily basis, ensuring that you sign in/out daily, as per Tusla regulations.
Plan & implement a weekly curriculum.
Revise room layouts regularly, ensuring that they are laid out around a structured environment, as per preschool regulations.
Ensure that you are physically able to meet the needs & responsibilities of your role.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
Requirements:
Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education (Level 6 or higher preferred)
Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, and child development best practices
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
