E-commerce operations & customer service specialist (remote)

Key Responsibilities
1. E-commerce Store Operations Process daily orders, manage product listings, and update inventory information Verify product pricing and shipping settings to ensure backend accuracy Monitor store performance and promptly address system alerts or issues
2. Data Reporting & Analysis Regularly export sales data (order volume, revenue, conversion rate, etc.) and generate simple reports Track cost, profit, and other key business metrics to assist with basic financial reconciliation Monitor inventory turnover and set low-stock alerts for best-selling items Assist in creating weekly/monthly operational dashboards
3. Customer Service & Communication Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries from around the world via email and online chat Address pre-sales questions (product sizing, shipping times, return/exchange policies) and post-sales follow-ups Build and maintain positive customer relationships to enhance overall shopping experience and satisfaction
About You
Essential: Previous experience in e-commerce operations or customer service is preferred but not required - we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for motivated newcomers Proficient in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools for daily data organisation, basic statistics, and report generation Strong written English skills to communicate clearly and professionally with customers worldwide Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple tasks independently in a remote work environment
Desirable (not essential): Experience with e-commerce backend platforms or customer service management tools Background in data organisation, reporting, or basic analysis
Working Hours & Remuneration Working Hours: 36 hours per week, 5 days per week, 6 hours per day (2 hours in the morning + 4 hours in the afternoon) - specific schedule is negotiable Weekend Work: While Saturday and Sunday are not standard working days, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing daily order processing and data reports on these days. This can be done flexibly at any time during the weekend. Pay Rate: Hourly rate, $36.00-$40.00 per hour + Superannuation Pay Cycle: Fortnightly (paid every two weeks), deposited directly into your nominated bank account Probation: 3-month probation period with the same pay rate and entitlements
