Dump Truck Driver
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent, Union
Business Unit: Chew Excavating
Location: Victoria, British Columbia
Reporting to: Operations Manager/Dispatch
Wage Rate: $30.24 to $34.73 plus 11.5% vacation pay and $2.95/hour pension contribution
Hours of Work: Up to 40 hours per week. Weekend Availability Required Periodically
Work Setting: Institutional, Commercial, Civil, Industrial, Residential
Number of Job Vacancies: 1-2
Chew Excavating, a member of the Ralmax Group of Companies, has an exciting and immediate opening for a full-time or part-time Truck Driver in Victoria, BC to deliver to industrial, commercial, and residential construction job sites. Experience pulling a Tridem Pup, Quad trailer, Operating a Crane Truck or Low Bed desired. Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of related driving experience preferred
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License
- Geographical knowledge of the Greater Victoria area is a benefit
- Experience pulling trailers preferred
- Experience operating lowbed is an asset
- Certification for operating mobile cranes 10 tons and under is an asset
Knowledge and Skills
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Responsible and reliable
Work Conditions:
- The driver must be able to safely maneuver the truck in congested areas with confidence.
- Must be open to work occasional weekend shifts.
