About the Role
This is a strategic, frontline role for Tofflon’s (DS) biopharmaceutical equipment business in Brazil and South America. As the key liaison between our headquarters in China and local clients, you will drive the full-cycle sales of bioprocess equipment and engineering solutions, directly contributing to an annual revenue target of USD 10 million.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Development
Proactively identify and develop clients across Brazil and neighbouring South American markets, focusing on biopharma manufacturers (end-users) and EPC/integrator firms.
Build and nurture high-value customer relationships through active site visits, industry networking, and deep understanding of project pipelines and technical needs.
2. Solution Selling & Competitive Strategy
Design and execute differentiated sales strategies against key competitors.
Integrate internal resources (products from China HQ) and local partners/suppliers to deliver customised, end-to-end solutions that address client pain points.
3. Cross-Functional Alignment
Act as the primary bridge between HQ’s DS teams (technical, delivery, commercial) and the Brazilian market, ensuring accurate transmission of project requirements.
Lead and facilitate seamless coordination between HQ’s solution experts/technical staff and local clients/partners, removing communication barriers.
4. Cross-Cultural Business Management
Work confidently in a multicultural environment, harmonising the working styles and business practices of the South American team and HQ to ensure efficient collaboration and delivery.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
1)Bachelor’s degree or above in Biopharmaceuticals, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2)Minimum 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
3)Solid knowledge of upstream (fermentation/cell culture) and downstream (separation/purification) bioprocesses, as well as single-use technologies (SUT) and stainless steel platforms, including core equipment principles.
Industry Network
Existing client relationships with biopharma manufacturers or engineering firms in Brazil/South America are a strong plus.
In-depth understanding of local biopharma regulations and market access requirements (e.g., ANVISA).
