Great Big Theatre Company is looking for Theatre Instructors for its programs of weekly classes for 2026-27. There are approximately 20 positions available for two-month term during July and August, at locations in Toronto, the GTA and southwest Ontario.

This is a salaried position ideal for those who enjoy working with children and young people and are qualified to do so, and who also have some theatrical experience. Completion of, or enrolment in, a university-level drama program is an asset, but not a requirement.

A valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is a requirement. If interested in applying, please contact your local Regional Police Services well in advance to arrange for this, since there is often a delay in obtaining this document.

CPR / First-aid accreditation is also an asset, as is having your own transportation.

The instructor's role is to supervise all activities and provide instruction in drama and related arts as guided by the company's curriculum and agengda.

Age of the attendees is 6 to 13. Hours are weekday evenings and / or Saturday mornings.

Pay is $ 30.00 to $ 35.00 / hr, more depending on qualifications and experience.

Class locations include: Brantford, Burlington, Georgetown, Etobicoke, Guelph, Hamilton, London, Markham, Mississauga, North York, Oakville, Oshawa, Richmond Hill, St Catharines, Toronto / Beach, Waterloo and Whitby.
